Phiên bản Stable của Chrome 18 lướt web nhanh hơn, bảo vệ người dùng an toàn hơn trước các loại malware và tự động tải trước trang người dùng muốn truy cập.

So với bản 18 Beta, bản Stable (hay chính thức) của Google Chrome 18 được khắc phục hàng tá lỗi lớn nhỏ nên vận hành ổn định hơn. Không những thế, tốc độ tải trang web của Google Chrome 18 Stable cũng cải thiện đôi chút.

Theo Google, bản cập nhật mới cho Chrome (Chrome 18) trên máy tính sẽ giúp tải trang web nhanh hơn theo cơ chế: một số trang web được tải ở chế độ nền trước khi người dùng nhập xong địa chỉ. Bên cạnh đó, việc tải về tập tin dữ liệu cũng sẽ an toàn hơn so với các phiên bản Chrome trước.
